Basical information

  • The Department of Electronics, Emmanuel College Vazhichal was established in the year 1995 with B.Sc Electronics Programme. The Programme was conducted in the old building (Currently, Emmanuel College of B.Ed Training). And it was shifted to the present vibrant campus on 1st November 1999. The campus has excellent infrastructure in place, which comprises auditorium, multimedia enabled class rooms, students laboratories, library etc.

What we teach

The department is widely recognized for its distinction, quality and merit. The Electronics Lab provides an integrated environment for students to understand the working of Analog and Digital Circuits, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and the interplay between computational tools and electronics hardware.


Practical Work

Each desk is equipped with Oscilloscopes, Waveform generators, Power supplies, Various Proto typing Boards and Desktop PC. With the state of art facilities all the final year students are encouraged to perform their project works in the department itself

Programme Details:

The bachelor degree programme in Electronics is of Choice based Credit and Semester System (CBCSS) with a duration of 3 Years in 6 Semesters. The programme offers the following Subjects

 Basic Electrical Engg.  Basic Electronics  Electronics Circuits  Digital Electronics  Analog Electronics  Programming in C  Communication Engg.  Microprocessors & Microcontrollers  Optical Communication  Instrumentation System  Bio Medical Engg.  Microwave Engg.  Nano Electronics  Digital Signal Processing, etc.


A lot of Job Opportunities are awaiting for graduates in B.Sc Electronics. Various government organizations like ISRO, BSNL, BHEL, NTPC, SAIL, etc recruit graduates from Electronics background every year. In the Private Sector the following jobs are available in leading corporate like INFOSIS, WIPRO, TCS, IBM, UST, INTEL, GOOGLE, etc.

Candidates for admission to the B.Sc. Electronics should have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination of the University of Kerala or any other university recognized by the University of Kerala with Physics as one of the optional subjects. Candidates with a pass in Higher Secondary/ Technical Higher Secondary/ Vocational Higher Secondary Examinations of the Government of Kerala with Physics as one of the optional subjects or any other examination recognized as equivalent are also eligible.
