Programme Education Objectives: B.Sc. Physics

PEO1:To produce graduate who excel in the competencies and values required for leadership to serve a rapidly evolving global community.

Programme Education Objectives: M.Sc. Physics

PEO1:Postgraduate will have significant prospects in the various fields like academics, industry, research organization, consultancy, defence and entrepreneurial pursuit at national and international level.

PEO2:Postgraduate will achieve peer recognition as an individual or team member having specialized knowledge and expertise to identify, formulate, investigate, analyze and implement on the problems in physical sciences.

PEO3:Postgraduate will have a solid foundation for academic excellence and quality leadership to meet the challenges in interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary environments.

PEO4:Postgraduate will have the ability to adopt, absorb and develop innovative and new technology in physical sciences and related areas through the lifelong learning process.

 

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO)B.sc Physics

PSO1: Conceptual understanding of physics and its practical applications and scope in the present world.

PSO2: Analysing the theory part with practical experiments interpretation of experimental results, finding out errors, suggestions to improve the errors.

PSO3: Develop and construct practical model systems from their conceptual knowledge.

PSO4:Distinguish microscopic and macroscopic systems.

PSO5:Acquire conceptual understanding of physics to general real-world situations.

PSO6:Integrate the quantum mechanics to understand the fundamentals of other branches of physics such as vibrational spectroscopy.

PSO7:Understand possible atomic and molecular energy levels and transitions and predict the existence of new elements.

PSO8:develop an idea regarding x-rays resonance spectroscopic techniques.

PSO9:Students will use the knowledge of electronics and communication to analyse the contemporary communication systems and to design the system.

PSO10:Apply Langrangian and Hamiltonian formalisms to solve various dynamical problems which involve constraints.

PSO11:Students will use the knowledge of mechanics to describe the motion of objects in different force fields.

 

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO)M.sc Physics

PSO1: Have fundamental and advanced level knowledge in physics particularly classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, nuclear and high energy physics, solid state physics, materials science and electronics.

PSO2: Have fundamental and advanced level knowledge in physics so as to handle the computational tools and Scientific software.

PSO3: Be able to apply experimental expertise in basic as well as advanced areas of physics.
