Innovation Ecosystem at Emmanuel College

The concept of Innovation ecosystem has become very popular recently. The ecosystem as a concept has its origins in the science of ecology. The objective of the ecosystem for innovation is to promote creativity and innovation among students , faculty members and facilitate development of innovative systems, processes, products, technologies and services for the benefit of the society. It is to create a culture of innovation within the institution through regular communication and active programmes. The institution provides a pacific eco-friendly innovation ecosystem to nurture the students’ creative thinking and innovative ideas. The college constituted various cells and clubs to give life to students innovation.

Institution’s Innovative Cell (IIC):

IIC of our college seeks to build culture of innovation by engaging large number of faculty, students and staff in various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities. They interact with renowned business leaders to extract new ideas. They also aim to visit new places and learn a new culture. Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) was established to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem, to promote more start-ups and to prepare institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) Framework. The IIC acts as an Incubation centre by welcoming and encouraging all the innovative ideas. Aims to conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion to identify and reward innovations and share success stories. Institution Organizes periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student.

Entrepreneurship Cell:

The prime goal of Entrepreneurship cell is to foster Entrepreneur spirit into the young minds so that it leads to generation of wealth and employment opportunities. It aims to help students to acquire necessary managerial skills to run an enterprise effectively. It helps students to cope with the current trends in market. It aims to help students channelize their goals to become a versatile Entrepreneur. The Entrepreneurship Cell aims at student empowerment by providing them trainings to develop their employability skills for the students to create their own employment. The Cell organizes various seminars, workshops, and training programmes to promote entrepreneurial culture among students. The institution not only provides the training for their start-up but also paves the path for them to implement their ideas.

Club and Departmental Activities:

Club activities assist students to cultivate a sense of unity and working with others in reaching the same goals. It facilitates students to meet , mix and work together with other students from different backgrounds in a diverse environment. It also enhances learning through interaction and discussion. These activities increase the level of confidence and their sense of independence. Inspiration is the key to innovation, various departments and clubs organize guest lectures, and awareness and training programmes respectively to inspire the students with a wide knowledge of the resource person. To impart practical knowledge the departments arrange Industrial Visits and Field Trips to various places.
