Govt Scholarships

Students can avail the Government scholarships if they meet the required eligibility criteria. Timely announcements of government scholarships are informed to the students through the notice board.

1. Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child (UGC Scheme)

Eligibility

      1. Applicants must be admitted into the regular, full-time 1st-year master’s degree course in any designated university or postgraduate college.
      2. The girl candidates must be the only child of her parents. The candidates must not have any brother, though the girl students who are twin daughters/ fraternal daughters may apply for this UGC scholarship.
      3. The candidates must not be more than 30 years of age at the time of admission into the PG programme.
      4. The candidates admitted to PG course through distance education mode are not eligible for this scholarship.
      5. Also, there are no income criteria for students to be eligible for this scholarship.

2. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme (Ministry of Minority Affairs, Central Govt)

Eligibility

      1. Applicants must belong to a minority community as notified by the Government of India. These include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Jains.
      2. The candidates must be studying in class 11 or above. Thus, the students studying in class 11,12, graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or PhD are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
      3. Students applying for this MoMA_Post_Metric scholarship should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination.
      4. The annual family income of the candidate’s parents/guardian should not exceed INR 2 lakh. This annual income comprises of total income from all the sources.
      5. A student shall be eligible for only one scholarship out of all the available Scholarships of Central Government meant for SC/ST/OBC/ minority.

3. SC/ST/OEC/OBC Scholarships

Eligibility

      1. The applicant should be a domicile of Kerala state.
      2. Students studying in the post-matriculation level of study from any recognized college/ board are eligible to apply.
      3. The applicants should not have an attendance of less than 75% at the end of each month.
      4. The candidate should have taken admission under the merit and reservation quota.
      5. Students belonging to SC/ OBC/ Other Eligible community [OEC] and Other socially/ economically backward communities are eligible to apply.
      6. The candidates belonging to SC and OEC do not have any annual family income limitations.
      7. The annual family income of OBC students should not exceed INR 1,00,000 for pursuing +2, Degree, Postgraduation and Professional courses.
      8. The annual family income of other students should not exceed INR 1,00,000 for pursuing +2, Degree, Postgraduation and Professional courses.
      9. The candidates can undertake Degree, Diploma, Doctoral, Higher secondary, Polytechnic, Postgraduate, Professional and VHSE courses.
